Creativity on display at the Fall Art Walk – Methow Valley News

Art, music, food and community connections are key ingredients of the Twisp Fall Art Walk and Studio Tour on Saturday, September 25 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and an after party at TwispWorks from 5 to 7 p.m. .

The Fall Art Walk is an opportunity to celebrate the many talented artists who inhabit the Methow Valley. Showcasing over 50 artists, the Fall Art Walk will fill downtown Twisp with sculptures, handmade jewelry, paintings, pottery, textiles, photography and live music.

Glover Street will be closed between Second and Third Avenues to allow pedestrians to walk freely during the Art Walk. Art galleries, studios and workshops around the city will be open for exploring and shopping.

Walking maps highlighting studios, galleries and other places offering art and entertainment will be available in advance on the Twisp Chamber of Commerce website,, as well as in person at all participating organizations.

Pipestone Music students and some of their teachers will perform at various locations during the Art Walk.

In addition to local Twisp restaurants, tasty food will also be available at Lonchera Yucatan Food Truck and Fork Food Truck during the event.

In conjunction with the Art Walk, Resilient Methow will host a 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. climate action event in the Twisp Yard. The event will celebrate the recently completed Methow Valley Climate Action Plan and provide updates from local organizations and leaders on the ways the Methow community is already responding to climate change through its work.

Speakers will begin at 1:00 p.m. and KC Golden, former chairman of the board of, an international climate advocacy group, will speak at 1:30 p.m. People can learn to get involved in action climate and taste the new OSB Haze ”IPA, which benefits Resilient Methow

After the Art Walk, TwispWorks will host an after party at the pavilion with live music by local DJs.

Face coverings will be required at Art Walk events, both indoors and outdoors.

The Art Walk is sponsored by the Twisp Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with TwispWorks, Confluence Gallery, Methow Arts, Cascadia Music and the Town of Twisp.
