Camden ‘Make a Dog’s Day’ with Subaru on October 22 – Trentonian
VOORHEES – Animal Welfare Association has partnered with Subaru of America, Inc. for Camden Make a Dog’s Day, the local activation of the third annual National Make a Dog’s Day. In 2019, Subaru made National Make a Dog Day a national holiday on October 22 as part of the automaker’s pledge to support the welfare of pets. The day aims to help hard-to-adopt shelter dogs find loving homes and encourages people to do something special for their dog to ‘make’ their day and share their happy dog on social media using # MakeADogsDay.
The Make a Dog’s Day event will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 22 at Von Neida Park in Camden. The day will include festivities for families and dogs, including a trunk or treat featuring decorated Subaru vehicles, dog-themed carnival games, pumpkin decorations, dog treats, dog tags, dog tag. dog identity, ask the vet, and more.
Dozens of Subaru volunteers will be helping out at the event with pricing tables and pet food giveaways. AWA staff members will be on hand to answer questions about dog care and organize dog demonstrations and games.
“We are very excited to host this event with Subaru of America for the Camden City community,” said Jeana Hoffman, Event Planner and Liaison Officer for the Animal Welfare Association. “It’s a fun way to interact with residents while providing free treats and essentials for their canine family members. “
It is suggested that participants arrive early. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Masks will be mandatory to attend the event and all dogs must be kept on a non-retractable leash.
